Mahindra Thar, which has created a stir in the SUV world in the country, has now come in a new avatar. The company has recently launched its new SUV Thar Roxx, whose starting ex-showroom price is Rs 12.99 lakh (petrol) and Rs 13.99 lakh (diesel).
The new Thar Rocks has all the good features of the old Thar along with two extra doors and a bench seat layout in the second row. This will make it easier to get in and out of the car and will also provide the facility to seat more people. Let us know in detail how the new Thar Rocks, launched on August 14, will be different from the old regular Thar.
What is the difference between Thar Rocks and regular Thar?
The Thar Rocks will have a longer wheelbase, which means the ladder-frame chassis is similar to the Scorpio N. It may also have a more refined suspension setup like the Scorpio N (which includes frequency-dependent dampers) which will provide better on-road behavior.
Talking about styling, the Rocks grille has a new double-stacked 6-slot design, while the three-door Thar has a 7-slot design. The headlamps are round in shape, but they have LED projector lamps and new C-shaped DRLs.
More features in Thar Rocks
The new Thar Rocks has more features than the old model. It has features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, LED projector headlamps, 360-degree camera, push-button start, front and rear center armrest, leather upholstery, rear AC vents, 6 airbags and panoramic sunroof.
It also has a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and ADAS Level 2 safety suite. The brake system has also been changed and it now has rear disc brakes, while the old model only had front disc brakes.
Overall, the Mahindra Thar Rocks is an upgraded version that offers more features, better comfort and more space. It can be a good option for those who want a comfortable ride in the city along with the off-roading capability of the Thar.
